TAGKAWAYAN WATER DISTRICT
Tagkawayan, Quezon
The Tagkawayan Water District was established on June 6, 1980 with official turn-over of ownership, management and operation from the Municipality of Tagkawayan on July 31, 1980. A Conditional Certificate of Conformance No. 130 was issued by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) on September 12, 1980 by virtues of Presidential Decree No. 198, otherwise known as Provincial Water Utilities Act of 1973 as amended by Presidential Decree (PD) Nos. 768 and 1479. It started its operation on May 1, 1983.
The municipality of Tagkawayan is one of the forty-one (41) towns of Quezon Province. It is located approximately 275 km southeast of Metro Manila and 145 km east of Lucena City, the provincial capital of Quezon Province. It is bounded on the north by the Camarines Norte, on the east by the municipality of Del Gallego, Camarines Sur; by Guinyangan, Quezon in the south and by Calauag, Quezon on the west.
